Goal of the Clown Doctors: offering distraction and fun to the patients of the children's ward of the Dr. Horacio Oduber Hospital.
Hospitalized children find themselves in a situation in which laughter, singing, playing and everything that belongs to being a child, is not matter-of-course. Their environment - parents, doctors and nurses - is only focused on getting them healthy again and/or treating their illnesses.
The Clown Doctors come to the ward to help these children forget their loneliness, boredom and pain and to help them cope with emotions that may come with a stay in a hospital. Their visit is not just about having fun; it is focused on the interaction with the young patients and, if possible, with their family members.
