Laughter with strange visitors

Clown Doctors aim for fun with the elderly of Maris Stella

Aiming to bring laughter and fun to the people of Maris Stella, the home for the elderly in Savaneta, the Clown Doctors are rapidly becoming regular and very welcome guests there. 'Look at the bright side', is their motto and the people who like a short visit from the clowns, are getting their few minutes of fame every week.

The staff members of Maris Stella like the clowns too: they bring a change in the routine, allow a ray of sunshine to come in and they pay attention to those who need it most.

The visits to Maris Stella have been made possible by the proceeds of the Polesitting Championships 2006 at Café the Plaza, which was a very successful fundraising affair. The clowns of the Clown Doctors are paid for their expert work.

The foundation is very happy that it is now also possible to allow once-a-week visits to Bibito Pin, where mentally challenged children are getting a laugh, and to Casa Cuna. The clowns of the foundation visit the children's ward of the Dr. Horacio Oduber Hospital two afternoons a week.
